What does your typical client look like?

Honestly, I don’t have a typical client! Just like every situation is individual, so is every client. I have worked with newly weds trying to set up a home and systems that work for them, all the way to empty nesters and retirees embracing a second chance to live an intentional life - along with many stages in between.

what if the cost is too high?

We all work hard for our resources, and want to steward them well. If the project cost or number of hours are too high for you we can work out a plan! I can help you work out how you could best move forward, and then you can do a lot of the work on your own time. We can set goals and I can step in periodically to help and guide as needed.

how do you help clients who live outside the dc metro area?

Traveling to clients who live outside the DC Metro area is something I am pleased to be able to offer. Because my services are so personalized and I receive such positive recommendations from my clients to their friends and family all over the country, being willing to travel has been important for my business.

what if I can’t physically be there to work with you?

No problem! As long as we can connect over your current situation and together work out how you hope to move forward, I can begin to work through the spaces and issues and connect with you as necessary.

what if you don’t think you can help me?

I will be completely honest with you if I believe your needs are not within my scope. A healthy and intentional environment for you to thrive in is my goal - if I feel someone else could better help you I will point you in the right direction. Having said that, I have not met a client as yet that I haven’t been able to help.

i don’t want anyone to see my mess?

I completely understand. We all want to hide the messy areas in our lives. That’s completely normal and natural. However, in order to move forward and make a change it’s important to keep the end goal in mind. There is absolutely no shame or judgement in needing help - we all do! Please know that it is my joy to help you move from messy to intentional. I will not be scared away by your mess - on the contrary, only more motivated to help you!

how do I know that this will work?

Just like any change in life, willingness to do the work required is necessary. However, this work is often overwhelming and paralyzing for many people - that’s the hurdle I’m here to get you over. I am dedicated to making sure we make the changes you long to make. Once my clients see the difference positive change makes, they are usually very motivated to stay on this new track.

what exactly do you do?

Just like there is no typical client, there is no standard job, but a couple of my recent projects have included -

* Helping a client work through dozens of dusty boxes that took up most of the floor space in her bedroom, we sorted through them with guidelines we had set from the goals we had identified. We went through years of piled up clothes and miscellaneous items and in the end had a fully functional closet and systems set up in her bedroom so the same situation didn’t happen again.

* Working with a client to establish a system in her home that she could use in caring for her newborn baby while still working outside the home. We identified new goals as she moved from being single to being married with a child, and set up realistic systems for her to maintain - including some to delay, but in an organized way.

* Assisting a couple with what to them was the overwhelming task of clearing out and sorting through the contents of their grown daughter’s room. We kept and stored those items that were of sentimental value and then converted the room to a fully functional guest room.

* Working through a flooded basement with a couple helping them figure out what their hopes were for the new space.

do you provide support for clients after the job?

Yes! It’s actually been really fulfilling to have clients connect with me to work through how to tackle new circumstances in light of their new blueprint for life. I am also always available to work through any hiccups you may come across in living out some of the changes we’ve implemented - that’s completely normal. It’s wise to reach out for help - and not revert back to old practices that will cause you to regress.
